On May 11, 5, the Faculty of International Studies was honored to receive the AUN-QA Quality Accreditation Certificate for 2024 Advanced Programs: Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, marking the achievement of the two advanced training programs of the Faculty of International Studies in meeting ASEAN regional education quality standards. This is a worthy recognition for more than 2 years of building and developing two key Engineering majors, taught entirely in English at the school.
AUN (ASEAN University Network) is a network of leading universities in Southeast Asia (SEA) established in November 11 by the initiative of the Council of Ministers of Education of the ASEAN countries, with initial members nominated by the Ministers of Education of the countries. Since its establishment, AUN has considered training quality as an important goal to affirm to the international community the development of higher education in Southeast Asia, creating connectivity and mutual recognition of training quality between universities within and outside the AUN network.
AUN has launched an initiative to assess the quality of higher education of schools in the Southeast Asian region according to the common quality assurance standards AUN-QA (short for ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance) first issued in 2004. This is a set of standards with quality rules with specific and clear criteria, focusing on assessing the conditions to ensure the training quality of the entire training program, not just based on the specific characteristics of each major. The AUN standards comprehensively assess the training program from many aspects such as output standards, program framework, teaching staff, facilities, quality assurance work, connections between schools, students, and businesses, etc.
